Opportunities for Reconciliation During Holy Week
Holy Week is a special time for all of us to reflect upon our own need to be freed from the attitudes and patterns that have brought pain and unhappiness in our life and the lives of those around us. As we celebrate the great events of our salvation, our liberation from the power of sin and death, we come to confess our need for that freedom which Jesus can bring us through the celebration of the sacrament of reconciliation.
The following is the schedule of times when reconciliation will be offered during Holy Week.
Monday, April 2nd : In union with all the parishes of the diocese, we will be offering the opportunity for individual confession in our church from 3:00 p.m. through 9:00 p.m. continuously.
Tuesday, April 3rd : 7:30 p.m.: Communal “No Questions Asked” Penance Service at Holy Spirit Church.
Those who have experienced our communal celebration of the sacrament of Penance know how sensitive this kind of celebration can be – no lectures -- no embarrassing questions -- just the healing words of Christ’s forgiving love. Invite a family member, a friend or a neighbor to join you.
Wednesday April 4th : 7:30 p.m.: Communal “No Questions Asked” Penance Service at Notre Dame Church.
Friday, April 6th: Good Friday. Individual confessions will be heard from 11:00 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. in our Church.
