General Description of the Ministry The death of a loved one can be a very difficult time for the immediate family. From the moment we hear about the passing of a loved one, we want to offer that family our support and our care. Traditionally, that care seemed to be reserved to the priest who paid a visit to the funeral home and then performed the Funeral Mass on the following day. However, the care of the Church extends beyond that which can be given by the ordained clergy. all of us as a church want to extend compassionate care and prayerful support to people who have just experienced a loss. The Ministry of Consolation consists of members of our parish family who want to extend that compassion to the newly bereaved.

Help now available on line to select readings and hymns for your loved-one's Mass of Christian burial!
