Kathleen Singleton, director of our parish
Religious Education Program, has been involved in various aspects of
religious education for over 30 years. Married with three children,
Kathy received her Masters Degree in Theology from St. John;'s
University. She has served as director of religious education for Holy
Spirit parish since 1992.

Sister Ann Horgan, R.S.M. has been the
director of
Parish Social Ministry since January of 1999. is a member of the
Sisters of Mercy, Dallas, Pennsylvania. She has served in various
educational apostolates. She entered the field of social ministry in
1982 and worked in two other parishes on Long Island before coming to
Holy Spirit Church. She received her doctorate from Hebrew Union College
Jewish Institute of Religion.

Sister Shamus Eileen, O.P., Director of the
Pastoral Care of the Sick and the Ministry of Consolation. Sister
Shamus has been a part of Holy Spirit Parish for many years, first
teaching in our grammar school and then establishing and directing the
Pastoral Care of the Sick ministry since 1992.

Christine Early joined the Holy Spirit Teen Club
when she was a high school freshman in the fall of 1989 and was an
active member until her graduation in June of 1993. After graduating
Seton Hall University in 1997, Christine became an adult volunteer to
the Holy Spirit Youth Ministry Program in 1998 . She has been involved
with the program ever since.
Christine is a Senior Technology Analyst at Goldman Sachs in Manhattan
and is pursuing her Masters of Education in School Counseling at CW Post
University.

Deacon Lachlan Cameron was ordained to the
diaconate in May of 2003. Lachlan has been very involved in the life of
Holy Spirit through the years. He has served as a Eucharistic Minister
along with his wife Dolores and their sons James, Edward, and Lachlan.
In the recent past, Lachlan helped us to inaugurate RENEW 2000, a
wonderful program of evangelization through the establishment of small
faith-sharing communities. Presently, Lachlan is formed Adult Faith
Formation committee of Holy Spirit and serves the community in preaching
the Word of God at Sunday liturgies and celebrating the sacrament of
baptism. |

Deacon Doug Ferreiro was ordained to the
diaconate in May of 1998. Born in Deer Park and currently living in
Franklin Square with his wife Louise and their two boys, Nicholas and
David, Doug has served the community as chaplain to the Franklin Square
and Munson Fire Department for a number of years. Within our own parish
family, Doug is be involved in our R.C.I.A. program, as well as our
parish programs of evangelization and outreach. With Deacon Lachlan,
Doug regularly preaches at the Sunday liturgy and administers the
sacrament of Baptism. |
